The first team to reveal their 15-man roster for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 was New Zealand.
From June 1–29, 2024, the USA and the West Indies will host the ninth ICC Men's T20 World Cup, a competition involving 20 teams.
The first side to announce their roster for the main event was New Zealand, who also unveiled their new playing uniform for the competition on Monday, April 29.All 20 teams have officially submitted their squads for the highly anticipated competition, with Pakistan announcing their roster on May 24.
In June of this year, Afghanistan announced their 15-man team for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, which will take place in the USA and the West Indies. Rashid Khan will captain the team.
In comparison to the 2022 edition, Afghanistan has added a few players to their roster: Karim Janat, Mohammad Ishaq, and Noor Ahmad are all included.
Hashmatullah Shahidi, who captained Afghanistan in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, was absent from the team; he hadn't played in a Twenty20 international match until 2022.
Nangyal Kharoti, a young player who earned his debut for Afghanistan against Ireland in March of this year, is also included in the squad. In that series, the 20-year-old made an impression with five wickets at an economy of just 5.90 in three games.
Mohammad Ishaq, an Afghan wicketkeeper batter who competed in the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cups in 2020 and 2022, is another young player who has secured a ticket.
With assistance from Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Noor Ahmad, Nangyal Kharoti, and seasoned Mohammad Nabi, Rashid will serve as the department's leader.
